Details of licensing SharePoint Hosting in SPLA - Octopus Cloud

In the case of Microsoft SPLA, SharePoint Server Standard and Enterprise licenses are provided under the Subscriber Access License, which means each end customer’s internal users would need a license. Service Providers will use the software to provide internal users access to content and applications. Therefore, the use of SharePoint Server software that is limited to internal users must be licensed under SharePoint Server SALs. Remember that SharePoint needs Windows and SQL, which means if you create an SPLA SharePoint license report, then you will also have to report Windows licenses covering the Operating System.
